If you keep going west from there, you will find an entrance to a deeper biome. You can find Nickel in the blue, harmless brine. It'll be in the brine, which is why I recommend a Prawn, which can survive in the green brine. North of the Junction is a good place for Crystaline Sulfur. Once you're there, I'd recommend heading east (unless you already cam from there) to an alien facility there and explore. This is the Junction, where you can get to the rest of the LR. If you find an alien facility, explore it.įollow through the LR until you find your way to an area with a skeleton with an arm. Knock them off with either of the propulsion/repulsion cannons or the knife. They’ll attach to the cyclops and start draining the power. When you get into the inactive and active lava zones, look for the lava larva. Also, make sure you have a spare knife, just in case. When you're in the Lost River, if you hear a shriek or see a giant snake, go to silent running and don't turn it off until you're past them. Set them out at important junctures, with decent but short labels. You should see a green liquid on the ground. Lost River preparation is a lengthy process in this subnautica guide I will go over everything you need to know about getting ready for The Lost River in Sub. One of the entrances (Bloodkelp trench) is so dark that Its like driving with my eyes closed. So far Ive found 2 entrances to the Lost River. Once you see the end, start descending downward. Im trying to find the biggest entrance into the Lost River. Follow just inside the trench until you find the end (there is an area where the trench seems to end, but starts again right on the other side). You can find this entrance by heading southwest of lifepod 17 until you find a large slot in the ground. This area is a rather tight fit for the Cyclops. The last entrance is in the Blood Kelp Trench. If you can brave the dangers, this area is pretty wide and open. If you spent any time at all in the Lost River, you probably noticed a lot of drillable resource nodes. I don't recommend this entrance because the surrounding biome is very dangerous, filled with very dangerous creatures and even a massive Ghost Leviathan not far west of the entrance. You will likely want both Cyclops and Prawn, both are capable of going to the deepest depths (although there comes a point where you might want to leave Cyclops behind and just continue with your Prawn). There is another entrance just southwest of lifepod 2. You should see a cave entrance, leading to a cave that looks like the biome just outside it, but a brighter light blue tint in the water. If you haven't been there yet, just go beneath the Floating Island and head slightly to the east. There is an entrance north of the 500m Degasi Seabase. I like the Mountains/Bulb Zone entrance because it's safe for the Cyclops, (which I highly recommend for trips to the LR and deeper, as it is basically a mobile base which you can put growbeds and storage in, as well as docking a Prawn Suit or a Seamoth.) You can find this entrance directly north if lifepod 12, if you have the signal. To (almost) fully explore the Lost River, you need a MK3 seamith depth module, a MK1 Cyclops depth module.
